Birthday presents

I placed an order at Amazon with the money Sean received for his birthday and the package arrived on Friday. We had a crazy weekend with a wedding and Jim's company cookout, but we found a couple of free hours to play with Sean's new toys on Sunday morning.
He got nesting blocks which he has to knock over each time as soon as we finish building it,












threading beads, that are just the right challenge for him,










and his favorite, a magnetic fishing game. He loves puzzles and this has the added fun of taking the pieces out with the fishing pole. He calls the octopus an "apple-pus".










He also has the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle and opposite cards from Melissa and Doug. I have a few ideas for introducing the cards with real objects before we use them as directed, and I will post when we do it.
