Chicks!

The call came yesterday morning. We finished up breakfast and loaded into the car to go pick up the chicks. We came home with one extra, giving us a baker's dozen. I couldn't resist a Silver Laced Wyandotte. The kids are thrilled, the dog is obsessed.  I have a feeling he will have a similar relationship with the chicks as he has with the cats. He wants to play, they couldn't be any less interested.

We had a bit of an issue yesterday with one of the Barred Rocks trying to peck everyone's eyes out, but after a bit of a time out, she seems to be a little more congenial. The RI Reds are the friendliest so far. It will be fun to watch their personalities develop as they grow!
