Late summer

Though it was our first week back to school, we just couldn't resist this hot, late August day. It is not often warm enough past Labor Day to spend swimming at our favorite lake, so we took advantage. A little schedule shifting, an early morning lesson, a few books in the backpack, and we were off.

Mike went under the water on Memorial Day weekend and he has been water shy ever since. He has finally overcome and so today I was the one to be nervous while he marched right out to his waist. He went under again today too, but he came up sputtering and laughing.

We came home for naps and dinner and Sean is off to soccer practice for the evening. The school year is in full swing.
