Keeping him busy

One of my biggest challenges homeschooling is keeping Sean occupied. It is far too easy to just throw the tv on for him and I have to make a conscious effort to keep him doing something worthwhile. It is tough sometimes to have him at the table with us, but I strive to keep a balance and divide my focus between the two boys.
The past couple of days we have:

stenciled

practiced counting and number recognition

folded, cut, colored, and pasted with Kumon workbooks

(token shot of my not-as-often-photographed during educational-pursuits child)

and transferred marbles with tongs.

When I've had enough of little hands reaching across the table in the middle of a math lesson, I set him up with something to do on the floor nearby. Here he is feeding his woodland creatures hot dogs and hamburgers, fresh from his kitchen. No rabbit or bear ever had it so good. ;-)
