Digging for treasure

I saw this on the Let's Explore blog and knew James would love it. We hunted around the house for little treasures and froze them in layers of water in a tupperware container.

Sean got to use his favorite toy, his spray bottle. James found a little wooden hammer to be most effective. Sean wandered off after a few minutes but James got every last item out of the ice. He wants to do it again with different treasures.

Hi, Robyn...you just posted on my blog, barebabyfeet...I just had to let you know that we too tried the ice treasures, with much success! My little girl is just two, but with warm water in a squirt bottle, we worked on the ice for a good half hour or more! She was so patient, and intent on retrieving everything. I think this would be a good party game, too! :)
