A is for apple

Sean has somehow managed to pick up the names of a few letters. I don't know how he figured this out, but since he is obsessed with letters and points them out everywhere, I want to teach him the rest. I officially introduced the letter A today.

We also started doing some apple related activities, including the life cycle.

This is way over his head, but I think it is a good introduction. We found an apple tree on our walk today and we cut a seed out of an apple. I look forward to growing some things from seed in the spring.

The boys printed with apples and then Sean helped me slice an apple for a snack.

Over the weekend I made a liner/divider for a basket to keep the color chips in. They are just paint chips glued to cardboard. Sean has to sort them from darkest to lightest. He has surprised me with how well he grasps this.
